Niamh Connolly

B.Sc Physiotherapy (2009)

We are delighted to welcome Niamh to our team. Niamh comes to us with years of experience in both private practice, treating everything from back and hip pain to general aches and pain, and in recreational and elite sport. She is the physiotherapist for Lansdowne RFC, the Leinster Women's Rugby team, the IRFU underage 7's rugby squad, and was Cricket Ireland Men's and Women's physiotherapist from 2013-2018. Niamh is also currently covering the role of medical co-ordinator of the IRFU, working with us 1 day per week (Fridays). She will return to us full time in December.

Outside of the common sports injuries, Niamh has a special interest in low back pain and hip and groin pain. She is qualified in dry needling, and is a qualified yoga instructor.

In her spare time, Niamh is a wing/full back with St. Marys College first Division Women’s Squad since 2012, and was also part of the Connacht Women’s Rugby squad in 2016 (you could say that rugby is her thing!!). She is also currently completing her Masters in Sports and Exercise Medicine.

East Coast Physio has been an incredible resource for me when I am home in Wicklow. Whether it is to help with a current injury, or just to keep injuries at bay I have full confidence and comfort in knowing that they are there for me when I need them.

Their professional and knowledgeable approach is next to none, and they offer a friendly and inviting environment, which makes you feel relaxed and ready for treatment.
