Welcome Niamh Connolly to the team!

B.Sc Physiotherapy (2009)

We are delighted to welcome Niamh to our team. Niamh comes to us with years of experience in both private practice, treating everything from back and hip pain to general aches and pain, and in recreational and elite sport. She is the physiotherapist for the Leinster Women's Rugby team, the IRFU underage 7's rugby squad, and has been the Cricket Ireland Men's and Women's physiotherapist since 2013.

Outside of the common sports injuries, Niamh has a special interest in low back pain, hip pain and groin pain. She is also qualified in dry needling, and is a qualified yoga instructor

In her spare time, Niamh is a wing/full back with St. Marys College first Division Women’s Squad since 2012, and was also part of the Connacht Women’s Rugby squad in 2016 (you could say that rugby is her thing!!). She is also currently completing her Masters in Sports and Exercise Medicine.

So much more than a group of Physios performing a job. They all do the job excellently, but it is the additional extra personal interest they take, the positive attitude, the confidence building, the willingness  to keep going and the belief that that things can and will improve that gives heart to their clients and gets results quickly or slowly. They are both kind and humourous. I deeply appreciate their time and efforts on my behalf and have no hesitation on recommending them to anyone. They also run a series of Pilates classes, so all round a huge positive presence in Ashford.
